Art Idea; Family Portrait: Death

Sat Jan 2, 2010, 2:36 PM
Hi all,

Recently an friend directed me to the Sandman series of graphic novels. Saying that I would like them and so far I would have to say a def yeah to that. A great story to say the least. But there is one character that stood out to me: Death. She is so bubbly and ironically alive for a psychopomp.

But anyway, it made me think of all the personifications of death and how they are related. Every family needs a family portrait, so why not death. It could be kind of fun. Imagine the following in a typical family portrait:

1. Death of the Endless (Sandman)
2. The Grim Reaper
3. The Black Flash (DC comics)
4. Celesta (goddess of death that carries a candle)
5. Azrael (angel of death)

I don't know, I could see the ladies of death sitting on a plush couch while the more male personifications standing behind. It was just an art idea.

On a different subject but not a happy one..it's cold here in WV..BRRRRRRR.

Auld Lang Syne: Decade in review

Mon Dec 28, 2009, 11:16 PM
Well, the first decade of the century is about done with. A lot has happened since 2000. Here are some random thoughts, births, deaths and just special things that happened to me this decade.

1. I became an aunt twice :)

2. On 9/11 I was sub-supervising a crew when the word came out about the first plane.

3. Michelle Grayshaw passed away in 2005. She was better known as Jasmine Shaye or Grey and worked for the Paragon Video site. Letters from fans and family stand in tribute that she was a kind and fun person to know.

4. I met Autumn Le Fleur...changed my fetish online life forever :D

5. Met my Tony :D Changed my life all around forever ;)

6. Lost a grandfather, two uncles, and aunt and my dad this decade.

7. We landed rovers on Mars that are still active after 5 years, a probe on the moon Titan and even a soft landing of a satellite on an asteroid. Just cool stuff I think.

8. Though I am not Catholic, when we lost Pope John Paul II in 2005...it sadden me alot. In his life, he got shot by a guy. Went to him and forgave him. He had break dancers in the Vatican. He offered official apologizes for the church's role in persecution of the Jews. And you could just see the kindness in him.

9. Autumn Le Fleur got 4th place in the Best Bondage Model category. I would like to hope some of my fangirl cheerleading had helped a little with that.

10. Read the Divine Comedy....wow.

11. Have met some really great ppl this decade....a great deal of them right here on the DA.

Of course there are tons of other firsts, like my first ballet boots..lol. But too much to talk about here. I hope this decade gave you moments of awe and moments that made you reflect on what is important in this life.

I survived another Christmas

Sat Dec 26, 2009, 5:36 PM
Hi everyone,

Well, another Christmas has come and gone and it was really nice. Hope it was for all of you as well.

As you have seen, their is a new model at the sub-shop. We'll give you more info as we can ;)
Also, I written some new stories, I hope you take a few minutes to read them and to give some feedback.

Now to the Sub-shop....it's got a new sleek and sexy look. At least I think so. Stop on over and take a look, I think you'll like it: [link]

And I must point out what I think is the best Christmas bondage pic of this season...it's right here: [link]
What makes it good? Simply because it is actually a tight set up. Alot of Christmas themed bondage is loose and focuses more on the decoration than the bondage. Not with this...there is a nice mix.

I also ran across a new artist to the DA, Elijah Pink: [link]
Stop by and check out his work.

Merry Christmas and art theft

Sat Dec 19, 2009, 7:00 PM
Hi everyone,

First let me wish all of you out there a Merry Christmas. I hope this coming week finds you all well. For my fellow eastern US citizens...wow did we get the snow. I know we got lucky here in western West Virginia in comparison to DC and the mountains, but 4 inches of snow before Christmas is a bit noteworthy here.

Now onto a little more serious of a subject that I think we all should look out for. This individual [link] has uploaded quite a few pics that are not his own, even one of Autumn. Now I don't know if it was intentional or what, but I would recommend for you to take a quick look and see if any of your pics are there. Or if you recognize any, to report where they originally came from. We need to keep an eye out for one another on here :)

And for you last minute shopper, shame on you btw for waiting so long, I want to remind you about Autumn's 50% off bondage sale going on. You may find that and more savings here: [link]

Also, Autumn is having a special little contest. Do you want to model? Then the sub-shop might have something you would be interested in. But it's better if you read about the contest over at her journal: [link]
